Megamix is fairly linear, as all the minigames need to be done in order to progress with the game.
TUBIDY SEARCH ENGINE FOR ANDROID SERIES
There are new minigames and completely new remixes as well (an amalgamation of a few minigames set to different music), so people familiar with the series need not be bored any longer. It also provides a nice entry point for beginners to the genre. They even included easy variants of select rhythm games for some of the beginner levels, which I found a bit of an odd choice, due to the minigames already being quite simple, but they do have new music to accompany them, so it's not all bad. Because of this, people who are veterans to the series might feel that the game is a bit repetitve to the majority of the rhythm games included being the same as the ones on the GBA/DS/Wii. Megamix is a compilation of various rhythm games from the previous entries in the series and also includes some customary new games. Pass a certain threshold to be awared an OK or a Superb. The better you do, the more points you get. You will be rewarded with either a Try Again, meaning you'll have to redo the minigame in order to pass, an OK, or a Superb - the latter two will allow to pass onto the next game. The basics to each of them is that first the game will inform you of what button to press and when to press it, often having an audio prompt to designate where to press it, and from there, you just have to play the game and be as precise as possible. Each minigame has its own set of rules and quirky aesthetic to make them all feel unique. I'm sure a lot of people are familiar with the Rhythm Heaven series, but if you're not, the game is essentially a collection of various minigames that you must beat by using the power of rhythm. As you can infer from the name of the game, this is a rhythm game.
